Aups is located in the heart of the Var on the first hills of the Alps. Aups is about a 60 km drive the Mediterranean sea and no more then a 80 km drive from the first snowfields. Aups is also often referred to as the doors to the superb Pays of the Verdon, referring to the Gorges du Verdon. The village of Aups counts 2000 inhabitants, has a surface of 6415 ha and is situated at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level. Aups is a great little village with a lot of charm, partly due to the fact that Aups was able to preserve some interesting historical houses, churches and government buildings dating back to the XI° and XVI° century.
