Entrecasteaux is located in the department du Var and has 1000 inhabitants. Entrecasteaux has a surface of 3211 ha. And is located in the green valley of Bresque. The primitive access to the medieval fortress remains quite visible. The superb monumental front doors had been plundered, but luckily the current owner Alain Gayral, found in an antiques dealer who had the originals doors for sale and was able to repurchase them. The old paved streets, the castle, the bordered high and narrow frontage of the village houses, are references to the exquisite middle ages character of Entrecasteaux. The whole site of the village is classified. The beautiful houses of XVIth century, the decorated murals, the arched passages and the streets in staircase make the village of Entrecasteaux one of most picturesque of France.
