Montmeyan is a perched village, not far from the Gorges of the Verdon and the Lake Ste Croix. The village of Montmeyan is located in the department du Var, has a population of about 500 permanent residence, a surface of 3943 hectares and is 504 meters above sea level. The fortifications give to the village a curious aspect, it seems to climb with the attack of the castle which was drawn up at the top of the piton where the church stands. The church of Montmeyan dates back to XIIth century and was recently restored. The very old houses and decaying arcades, encircling the narrow lanes give this tiny places of Provence its undeniable charm.
